David Kampmann

David is a Research Assistant at the Oxford Sustainable Finance Programme. His main areas of research include spatial and transition finance. He currently works on new asset-level data sets of high emitting sectors and transition scenarios. David is also a PhD researcher at the London School of Economics examining how knowledge is constructed about inherently uncertain future states of society by looking at venture capital and potential impacts of Artificial Intelligence and automation.

Before joining the Sustainable Finance Programme, David gained professional experience in the private and non-profit sectors. He holds a MSc (with distinction) in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the LSE, a MSc (with First Class Honors) in Sustainable Development from HEC Paris, and a BSc (with distinction) in Economics and Management from Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
