Communications and Knowledge Exchange Associate, UK Centre for Greening Finance & Investment (CGFI)

The UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment (CGFI) is a national centre, established by UK Research and Innovation in 2021, to accelerate the adoption and use of climate and environmental data and analytics by financial institutions internationally. CGFI is supporting the integration of climate- and environment-related financial factors into mainstream financial decision-making and helping to enable the reallocation of capital towards net zero-carbon, resilient, and nature positive solutions.
We are looking for a Communications and Knowledge Exchange Associate, reporting to the CGFI Innovation and Impact Lead, to play a central role in communicating and translating the work of the Centre to a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a CGFI communications strategy. With a particular emphasis on developing thought leadership content to expand the world-leading standing of the Centre. As well as designing and running major, high impact CGFI events such as the annual conference, workshops and sessions at major fora such as COP27. You will also develop knowledge exchange frameworks and activities to ensure CGFI outputs and learnings are adopted effectively by the various stakeholder communities e.g. different types of financial institutions, climate and environmental analytics businesses, academic institutions, NGOs regulators and public institutions.
Another key responsibility is supporting the implementation of the CGFI innovation strategy by developing communications materials and supporting innovation activities across our partner institutions.
The successful candidate must hold a relevant Master’s degree or equivalent and demonstrate broad understanding of CGFIs mission and issues on which we work. You will have strong communication skills in particular excellent skills of consultation, collaboration and influence in order to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders. Capability of developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with people at all levels within diverse organisations is essential.
