Jacques Morris

Jacques is Head of Policy at the UK Centre for Greening Finance and Investment and Group Policy Lead at the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group. He is also Team Leader of the Secretariat for the UK Transition Plan Taskforce, established by HM Treasury, and is Senior Associate at E3G with a focus on sustainable finance.
  Jacques is on secondment from the COP26 team in the UK Cabinet Office where he set up the COP26 finance strategy and specialised as the lead on private finance. He also led on scaling the mobilisation of capital into developing countries and driving outcomes through the G7 and G20. Throughout his COP26 role, Jacques worked with finance ministries, multilateral development banks, private financial actors and civil society to form international coalitions and drive political commitments to underpin the Glasgow Climate Pact.
  Prior to COP26, Jacques worked in the Economic and Domestic Affairs Secretariat of the Cabinet Office, advising the Prime Minister and Cabinet Secretary on domestic policy priorities. Jacques also held a variety of roles across the civil service in international trade, international security and education. Jacques is a governor at a local school in south London, where he advises school leadership on environment and climate issues. He holds a BA in History from the University of Oxford.
