Matt is the Willis Towers Watson (WTW) Research Fellow in the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group. He studies the financial risks of climate change and biodiversity loss. His work at Oxford focuses on climate adaptation and resilience.

Matt completed his PhD in Finance at the University of East Anglia where his doctoral research was on empirical asset pricing. He has published research on a range of topics from consumer finance to electoral prediction.
