APAC Sustainable Finance Conference
15 July 2021 | Online
Dr Ben Caldecott, Director of the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group at the University of Oxford and Director of the UK Centre for Greening Finance & Investment, joined a panel at the APAC Sustainable Finance Conference to discuss: A practical toolkit to navigate the climate transition.
He was joined by Sean Kidney, CEO of Climate Bonds Initiative and John Lee, Vice Chairman of Head Greater China Global Banking UBS Investment Bank.
They discussed how the practice of sustainable finance has seen rapid progress over the past decade, but with global SI AUM surpassing $1.8 trillion, the pressure is on for credible and accessible investment tools and products. What are the possible consequences of tightening regulatory pressures globally and across APAC, in some cases where markets remain nascent?
Should we innovate or consolidate? What are the most promising products and trends? And most importantly – would any of this financial engineering succeed in driving real world impact?
The APAC Sustainable Finance Conference is a call to action to our clients and investors, comprising Asia’s most successful entrepreneurs and businesses, with the financial ability to not only be part of this change, but also be a driver and a positive influence in the industry and community.
